Emergency Fund for Student Dancers has been collaborating for several years with the Harkness Center for Dance Injuries in presenting workshops to students attending member schools. The Harkness Center graciously donates space for these free half-day workshops in the well-appointed Loeb Auditorium at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. Topics have included: "Survival for the Professional Dance Student in NYC" which addresses the practical challenges facing young dancers who come to NYC to train as well as how to prevent injury, and "Well Being and Success; From Studio to Stage" which looks at the overall health of the dancer moving from a training environment to working as a professional and career advice from working choreographers. Watch the bulletin board at your school or this website for future workshops.
